Privacy Policy

This policy explains how SkyTech PC collects, uses, stores and protects personal information provided through our website and services.

Last updated: 24 July 2026

1. About this policy

SkyTech PC (ABN 66 560 442 496) provides computer repairs, upgrades, custom PC builds, networking assistance and remote IT support in Sydney and surrounding areas.

We aim to handle personal information responsibly and transparently. Some small businesses may be exempt from parts of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), depending on their circumstances. Regardless of whether an exemption applies, this policy describes the privacy practices we intend to follow.

2. Information we may collect

Depending on how you contact us or use our services, we may collect:

  • your name, phone number and email address;
  • your suburb, service address or preferred appointment location;
  • details about your computer, device, network or technical issue;
  • booking, quote, job, payment and communication records;
  • information you choose to include in forms, emails, messages or support requests; and
  • limited technical information generated when you use our website or third-party form provider.

Please do not include passwords, banking credentials or unnecessary sensitive information in website forms.

3. How we collect information

We may collect information directly from you when you:

  • submit a quote or booking request;
  • call, email or message SkyTech PC;
  • provide a device for inspection, diagnosis or repair;
  • request on-site or remote support; or
  • approve a quote, purchase or service.

Our website forms are processed using Formspree. Information submitted through those forms is transmitted to and processed by Formspree under its own terms and privacy practices, then delivered to SkyTech PC.

4. Why we use personal information

We may use personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries and prepare quotes;
  • schedule, provide and follow up repairs or support;
  • identify devices, diagnose faults and keep job records;
  • communicate about approvals, parts, progress, collection and payment;
  • maintain business, tax, warranty and service records;
  • improve our services and website; and
  • comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

We do not sell personal information.

5. Access to devices and customer data

Computer repair and support work may require access to operating systems, user profiles, files, settings or connected services. We will only access information reasonably necessary to diagnose or complete the authorised work.

Customers should back up important data before service whenever possible and remove or secure highly sensitive information that is not required for the job. Passwords supplied for a repair should be temporary where practical and changed after the service is complete.

6. Disclosure to others

We may disclose relevant information to service providers that help us operate the business, such as:

  • website form and email providers;
  • payment, accounting or record-keeping providers;
  • parts suppliers, manufacturers or warranty providers where necessary; and
  • professional advisers or authorities where required or permitted by law.

We aim to limit disclosure to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

7. Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps may include access controls, passwords, software updates, secure devices and limiting access to business records.

No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure. Please contact us promptly if you believe information provided to SkyTech PC may have been compromised.

8. Retention and deletion

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably required for service delivery, customer support, warranties, business records, taxation, dispute resolution and legal obligations. Information that is no longer required may be deleted, de-identified or securely destroyed where practical.

9. Access, correction and privacy concerns

You may contact us to request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you. We may need to confirm your identity before responding.

Privacy questions or complaints will be considered in good faith. Please provide enough detail for us to investigate and respond.
